Dr. Morales is an expert in medicinal chemistry, parallel chemistry, chemoinformatics, computer-aided drug design, and in addition to his own hands-on work he has worked with and supervised CROs on complex synthesis and biological projects. Having experience as an entrepreneur and having worked at small companies, he has a demonstrated record of working with and motivating multidisciplinary teams to achieve goals under tight budgets and timelines.
Dr. Morales has co-authored the last 5 “Comprehensive Survey of Chemical Libraries for Drug Discovery and Chemical Biology” reviews for the Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry, and he is Editor-in-Chief of the first journal dedicated to parallel and combinatorial chemistry: Molecular Diversity. He is/has also served on the editorial advisory board of several journals including Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry, Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry, and Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening. He has co-authored numerous scientific manuscripts, edited a book on combinatorial chemistry, co-authored a book on cheminformatics, and authored a book chapter on lead optimization using combinatorial and parallel synthesis.
